My name is Julie Parra and I am a wife, mother, web designer and Internet Marketer!

I have been involved in entrepreneurial opportunities since I was 11 years old when I babysat all the younger kids in my neighborhood. I’ve always been driven by being able to help others where I could.  After spending 12 years in Real Estate and as a Mortgage Loan Consultant, I opened a Mortgage Loan Processing Company in 1998 that was called "Premier Processing".  The Internet was in it’s infancy back then, but the Mortgage Loan industry already had their eye on using it to cut costs and expedite their processes.  In 1999, just one year after beginning my Loan Processing business, most Mortgage Brokers started cutting back on using independent Loan Processors as they were able to submit directly to the lenders over the Internet and saving themselves quite a bit of money.

I also went to the Internet, but it was to see if I could supplement the income I was losing from the changes in Mortgage Lending.  I started studying Internet Marketing and was fascinated by it.  I started out by selling affiliate products. Affiliate products are simply somebody else’s product that you sell and earn commission from. I remember how exciting it was waking up every morning to see much I had earned while I was sleeping!  That was when I realized the power of the Internet and the value of learning all I could about Internet Marketing. 

Since 1999, I’ve always studied everything I could find and did a lot of my own testing to make sure I kept current with effective Internet Marketing techniques.  In 2005, I started receiving inquiries from people online that I did not even know asking for help in their own marketing! I found that they would find my name on the top of Affiliate Contest Boards and marketing forums. I found it really enjoyable to be able to help other people with what I had been studying.  It was at this time I started mentoring and building websites for other marketer's.  In 2006, I decided to shut the doors to my processing business and go full time into Internet Marketing not only for my own marketing, but to also continue to help others with their marketing. In 2006, I had earned a top production award for my marketing efforts from Global Abundance Program and in 2008 I also earned a top production award from Cruise to Cash Vacations. In the early part of 2010, I had earned one of the very first "Rising Star" awards given out by Visalus Sciences.

After spending 3 years informally mentoring and designing websites for others, finally in 2008, I started a marketing company called “Ultimate Marketing Solution".  It was a one-stop-shop for other Internet Marketer's that needed websites and any other marketing assistance. Even though this was a successful venture, I always wanted to expand what I have learned as an Internet marketer and web designer to the brick and mortar; small business owner.  So, I decided to shut down my Ultimate Marketing Solution site the end of 2010 (it was only geared for online marketer's) and take my knowledge and skills solely to the offline, small business owner.

That is how “Can People Find You” was started.  I was stunned to find that many brick and mortar small business owners not only don’t have an effective website, (if any website at all) but have not even claimed their “Google Places Listing”. With many businesses closing down in my area, and many others struggling, I felt I could really make a difference in educating and assisting the transition from the old school traditional forms of advertising to Marketing their businesses on the Internet. 

My goal here is to be the local “Go To” person in regards to website design and online marketing, not just in my local area, but for anyone that could use my assistance in growing their business using online methods.
